The British Isles are blessed with a rich variety of scenery; Lakes, mountains, wild fells and luxuriant valleys. This programme of walking holidays explores all of it from the wild landscape of the Scottish highlands to the gentle rolling hills of the Cotswolds or Dorset.

Britain's long history has left its mark on the landscape, historic sites and castles abound, and there is a story to be heard for almost every mile of trail they follow. You can follow in the footsteps of roman legionnaires, follow beautiful coastal paths between quaint fishing villages, retrace Wainwrights famous walk from coast to coast, or explore the Yorkshire Dales of Herriot fame. All of these and much more feature in their selection of walks.

Whatever your experience or ability there is a walk to suit you. Whatever your special interest, be it history, wildlife, architecture, or just the open spaces and superb scenery, it is there to be savoured and enjoyed. The important thing is to take it slowly for here there are ample reasons to stop and stare.

Sherpa was established in 1973. Being one of the first companies in adventure travel also makes them one of the most experienced. As long as you are reasonably active and in good health you'll be able to find a walk to suit you. They do assume that you have been walking in the hills before and can read a map.
